How it works
From request to ride in three steps
No addresses or coordinates needed: pick a landmark, drop a pin, or let your phone find you.

Set pickup and destination
Use your location, a place like a mall or market, or tap the map. MotoGo shows how many riders are nearby.

A nearby rider accepts
See your rider's name, rating, motorbike and plate, and watch them come to you with a live arrival time.

Check the PIN and go
Give your rider the trip PIN from your app, so you know it's the right bike. Agree the fare with your rider and pay them directly.

Trip PIN
The ride only starts when your rider enters the PIN from your phone, so nobody else can pretend to be your rider.
SOS button
Raise an alert during a ride. The MotoGo safety team sees it at once, with your location.

Send a link so family or friends can follow your ride live until you arrive.

Save the people to reach first, ready in the app if something goes wrong.
Checked riders
Riders register with their NRC, riding licence and motorbike, and MotoGo approves them before they can take rides.

How to start
- Install the MotoGo Rider app and sign in with your phone number.
- Register with your NRC, riding licence and motorbike details.
- Get approved by the MotoGo team.
- Choose a plan, go online and start taking rides.
You need: an Android phone (8.0 or newer) with data, a motorbike in good condition, a valid riding licence and your NRC.

Scan with your phone- DownloadTap Download and wait for it to finish, then open the file from your notifications or Downloads.
- Allow the installThe first time, Android asks for permission: tap Settings, turn on "Allow from this source", then go back.
- Install and openTap Install, then Open. Sign in with your phone number and the code we send you by SMS.
MotoGo isn't on Google Play yet, so your phone may warn that the app is from an unknown source or ask Play Protect to scan it. Download MotoGo only from this website: our apps are signed by MotoGo, and your phone refuses any update that isn't. iPhone apps aren't available yet.

How much does a ride cost?
You agree the fare with your rider and pay them directly, in cash or however you both agree. MotoGo doesn't charge passengers anything to use the app.
Where can I use MotoGo?
MotoGo works in the areas where it has riders, starting in Zambia. When you set a pickup point, the app tells you if rides are available there and shows how many riders are nearby.
Why isn't MotoGo on Google Play?
We publish the apps here first, so we can bring new features to you quickly. They are signed by MotoGo, and the app tells you whenever an update is ready. Download MotoGo only from motogo.live.
How do updates work?
When a new version is ready, MotoGo shows "Update available" when you open it. Tap Update, then Install. Your account and settings stay as they are. Occasionally an update is required before you can continue, for example after an important change.
My phone says "App not installed". What do I do?
Make sure you have enough free space and that installs from your browser are allowed. If it still fails, try the "newer 64-bit phones" link under the download button, or contact us.
How do I become a MotoGo rider?
Install the MotoGo Rider app, sign in and register with your NRC, riding licence and motorbike details. The MotoGo team checks your details, then you choose a subscription plan and can go online.
I left something on a bike or want to report a problem.
Use Report in the app for a ride, or contact us with the date and time of the trip. In an emergency, use the SOS button during the ride and call the emergency services.
